HPM: Nero

Name: Nero

     Nero was born in a rainy fishing town on the coast of the ocean. His mother left his father when he was only a toddler in order to be with another man and he never really saw much of her after that. Being raised by a single father with a physically and time demanding job, Nero was often left to his own devices. He had no siblings or any neighbor children to play with but was very adventurous as a child, always ending up with scrapes and bruises. This was especially true around the time Nero first started using his wings to fly. His father was incredibly lenient and would correct him rather than punish him (since he wouldn't have been around to enforce any punishment he may have passed).

     Despite the lack of parental guidance (for the most part), Nero grew up to be a perfectly acceptable teenager with perfectly acceptable grades and hobbies. When he was fourteen he and a couple of his friends formed a band. Although he dabbled in various instruments, the Noibat took to singing after some persuading from his friends who weren't all that great behind a microphone. While he was engaged and talented on stage, Nero found the 'afterparties' to be somewhat uncomfortable since he wasn't used to so much attention (especially from the opposite gender). He did eventually adapt and learned to be calm and enjoy the attention. Nero became talkative to a fault when with his friends. For the next few years the boys were the talk of their small town. The plan had always been to make it big after high school but when the time came, every record company turned them down.

     Crushed, his band mates moved on to do other things - college, marriage, full-time jobs. Nero bounced around, unable to find his niche in life. It didn't bother him too much, though. He just did whatever he felt like, effectively going with the flow. He got a job when he needed money and quit when he didn't. Predictably, working at clothing stores, fast food joints, and painting houses did not turn out to be a satisfying lifestyle and Nero sought out something different. 

     Putting his voice to good use, he got a job at the local radio station and worked there for a few years before deciding on a whim that he would start his own. He heard of Raccolto from a listener who had called in one day and figured that would be the perfect place. Now, having worked at jobs that were, for at least the majority, low paying, Nero didn't have a ton of cash saved up and he didn't have any magical dying relatives to bestow great amounts of cash on him. What he did have, however, was good credit. So, like any adult, he took out a loan and decided he would erect his own radio station on this remote island chain. What could go wrong?

-Basic knowledge of many instruments

-Vocally talented (he has a nice speaking/singing voice) but hates doing impressions

-Exceptional hearing 

- Does not eat meat and much prefers fruits or hard candies

- Has his house attached to his radio tower in the middle of Mystery Isle's south woods

- His arms are covered in geometric tattoos

- Never had a girlfriend last more than a few months
